Our classes do tend to fill up, so we suggest that you sign up and pay for the class before the actual class day to avoid disappointment. You can pay over the phone with a credit/debit card, in person with cash, check, or credit/debit card, or you can mail your payment in.
If you want to tentatively get on the class roster, please email us your information - name, phone number, the class you want, when you intend to pay, etc. However, keep in mind that your spot in the class will not be secured until we receive payment!

Chip Holland is a Lieutenant with the Madison County Sheriff’s Department. He has over 19 years of law enforcement experience. Presently, he is the Assistant Commander of the Madison County Sheriff’s Department Tactical Unit with over 16 years of service. He has served as a counter sniper, entry team member, and currently serves as the entry team leader. He has worked in the Narcotics Unit for 6 years serving as Operation Supervisor for 3 years. He was assigned for several years to the Criminal Investigation Unit, and is currently the Warrants Division Commander.
He has participated in numerous tactical operations, search warrants, high-risk arrest warrants, as well as confrontations with both armed and unarmed felons. He has attended training in firearms, tactical operations, counter-terrorism, personal defense, school violence, explosive devices, and dignitary protection conducted by the Federal Bureau of Investigation, Secret Service, Department of Defense, and the Department of Justice in addition to various state, local, and private training programs. He is a State of Tennessee Certified Firearms Instructor, Department of Commerce and Insurance Instructor, and is recognized as a Specialized Firearms Instructor by the State of Tennessee Peace Officers Standards and Training Commission.
Chip is a Life member of the NRA and is also a member of the National Tactical Officers Association and the International Association of Law Enforcement Firearms Instructors.
Steve has many years of firearms training and various special training as a Reserve Deputy for the Madison County Sheriff’s Department. He is currently employed by the University of Tennessee as a Utility Operations Consultant. As a consultant, Steve has had extensive training in Risk Assessment and Security for utilities. Steve has also taught the Tennessee Handgun Permit Class for years before coming on board with Range USA University.

Kristen Bauer is a Range USA instructor. She served as an assistant manager for three years and currently writes Gun Powder, the column in Range USA’s newsletter Libertas. Since 2006 she has specialized in helping men, women, and children learn and hone their skills. Her presence is comforting to many who are not familiar with firearms, but she can also take an experienced handgun, shotgun, or rifle shooter and improve their skills. She teaches most of our courses including Introduction to Handguns, Self-Defense Handgun, Women’s Only Permit, Youth for ages six through sixteen, and shotgun and rifle classes. In addition, she helps new shooters select the proper handgun for them through a Personal Handgun Consultation, and conducts private lessons and private classes. She also assists with class schedules, special events, and with designing and implementing our firearm and other weapons courses. When Kristen is not at Range USA, Inc. you will find her riding and training horses. Kristen spent thirteen years in corporate training with ServiceMaster where she has produced training videos, designed curriculum, and facilitated leadership courses for company employees.

Heath Bookout has worked with Hotel Resources Group, LLC in the commercial construction industry for the past 13 years. He is a native of Pensacola, FL and came to Memphis in 1988 to play football for the University of Memphis. While attending college, Heath completed the Park Ranger Training program and then worked as a law enforcement Park Ranger. In addition to law enforcement, he performed fire suppression, along with search and rescue duties. Heath worked at Shelby Forest State Park in Millington, TN; Lincoln Home National Historic Site in Springfield, IL; and Rocky Mountain National Park in Grand Lake, CO. Throughout the years Heath has also worked security at a variety of venues.
Heath came to Range USA in 2007 with a focus on the Street Survival School classes. Over and above his law enforcement and security background, he has attended many outside classes from nationally known schools.

By day and for the past 8 years Paul Brehm has worked as CEO and Co-owner of three companies: Total Logistics Consultants, TLC Express, and TLC Warehouse. He had a total of 36 years in the transportation and logistics industry.
He is a long-time customer of the range, shooting here since 2004. Paul’s employment at Range USA, Inc. began as a Range Assistant helping instructors run classes smoothly and efficiently. He was one of the original Range Assistants and has served in that role since 2007. In 2008, he became an Assistant Manager. Paul is now an Instructor and Director of the Range Assistant Program. Paul really enjoys working with new shooters, and being at the range is a big stress reliever for him. On multiple occasions on class surveys students have stated that Paul is " really patient" with new shooters. He finds it very rewarding to be a part of someone learning something new and learning to do it right from the beginning.

Private Lessons can focus on the skills you want to learn, and can be scheduled at a convenient time for you! We offer instruction for anything from a basic introduction to firearms, to marksmanship, to advanced tactical lessons.
Fees for private instruction start at $130.00 for a two hour minimum, and maximum of two people. We can also give you a price for more than two people such as a group or family.
Private Classes can be scheduled for any class we offer. In the past we have done classes for church groups, Sunday school classes, home owner’s associations, professional organizations, clubs, groups of friends, etc. We can schedule it to fit your needs and we can guarantee you a great class fee. You can even have our restaurant, 1776, set up a catered buffet for your class!
