Pre-requisite: SSS – Street Handgun Level I (required), familiarity with rifles

• Quality, fully functional handgun
• Strong side hip holster
• 3 magazines or speedloaders
• Magazine/speedloader holders
• 100-150 rounds of pistol ammunition
• .223 caliber rifle (rental is available)
• Tactical sling
• Comfortable clothes and shoes

Course Description: This is the first course in our Tactical Carbine series. In the classroom you will learn the features and functions of your rifle, as well as optic choices, accessory selection, field stripping, and cleaning your rifle. Next, we’ll head to the range and practice the fundamental skills used to fire a rifle. Then we will move on to defensive and tactical skills!  Students will learn how to clear jams and misfires, deploy the rifle, move and shoot with the rifle, transition between the rifle and pistol, and shoot from various positions. Multiple assailants, using cover and concealment, tactical reloads, and basic Close Quarter Battle (CQB) techniques will also be covered. All rifle ammunition for this class is included in the tuition.
